A 20 Year Career of Carpentry, Inspections and Education
Hello! I’m Ryan Walton, a highly skilled and experienced Home Inspector with a passion for helping homeowners make informed decisions about their properties.
I started my Carpentry apprenticeship in 2004 working in Squamish building houses. After completing my apprenticeship I moved on to larger infrastructure projects in the Lower Mainland. As I gained experience, I became a Foreman, managing a large concrete formwork crew. Then about 10 years ago, I decided to go back to BCIT and become a Building Inspector for a local municipality. Since then, I’ve done thousands of home inspections for new houses and renovation projects and developed exceptional communication skills with a deep understanding of building systems.
Most recently I started teaching the Home Inspector program at BCIT. I find it a great way to give back, continue education and stay on top of the latest construction methods and systems!
